ABC again

ABC from Tuesday (2010.06.01.) isn't available again. Oprah (1:00am on Wednesday) is downloadable. But the shows before are not (Jimmy Kimmel, Nightline, etc.).

is not working. The keyfile can be decoded. But the avi file then is broken. Only Virtualdub can read it (a little) and the recording is totaly messed up.

it's not only the index (Virtualdub said that already and tried to fix it). It's also a totaly messed up video (fragments and blurs all the time). I tried DivFix anyway. It fixes the broken index but of course not the screwed up video track.

Even if no one seems to care about the us stuff (imagine me with big sad little-girly-eyes), I would like to bring to your attention that

seems to be corrupt. The filesize is only ~250MB (should be much bigger for a full hour), and you see nothing in the preview thumbnails.

The show/file before Kimmel seems to be ok. The show after Kimmel (repeat of Oprah) is not online. The comment of McMuppet doesn't make much hope. Is it a terrestrial signal? I recognized that ABC has more often failures on otr than other us-networks. But most of the times it worked so far. The signal is stronger than USWPIX. Let's hope it's just bad weather. Maybe some kind of a signal booster can do the trick.

as I appreciate your quick answer MCMuppet, I also ask myself if there is any motivation to fix the known problem? Either that or stop showing ABC in the programmlist since you're not able to provide it in a reliable manner. It's nice to promote the service like OTR does, but at least it should work. Otherwise it's only promises...

Of course we are interested in a solution of the problem. We would solve the problem immediately, but that is not as easy. It can not be compared with a repair of an antenna on your roof. I will report the problem again. However, I have no great hope that the problem can be solved promptly.

Ich nehme auch ausschließlich US-Fernsehen auf. Wenn es korrekt aufgenommen wurde ist die Qualität auch immer gut. Komischerweise habe ich im Abendprogramm (z.B. Kimmel) recht oft Pech. Allerdings fast nur bei ABC (wohl wg. der erwähnten Signalschwäche von ABC im New Yorker DVB-T). CBS, NBC und so läuft eigentlich (mit nur wenigen Ausnahmen) immer gut.
